International College. We begin the school year with a great deal of enthusiasm and optimism for the future. At IC, we feel that the future of Lebanon will soon be in the hands of our graduates. We have a wonderful student body and good reason for our optimism International College has a long and illustrious history as one of the finest educational institutions in the world. Founded in 1891 in Smyrna, Turkey, IC moved to Beirut in 1936 at the invitation of the American University of Beirut. IC shares its main campus in Ras Beirut with the American University of Beirut. In addition, the Ain Aar campus, north of the city, is home to 800 students in grades preK through middle school.
